Cheesman Dam going up on the South Platte in 1903 -- the works that made Denver a city with a water supply rather than a water problem. When it was finished it was the tallest dam in the world.

Shows: Denver's storage being built, course by course, by the company whose successor is Denver Water.

What this does not let you conclude: What it holds now, or who is entitled to it. The reservoir and its rights are in the record beside this; the photograph is the construction camp. One of nine photographs taken during construction between July and December 1903; this is plate WSP74-001.
