Denver Basin bedrock

Confined sandstone aquifer; negligible human-timescale recharge — pumping is one-way storage mining.

Because this aquifer does not recharge on a human timescale, a decline here is storage being removed, not a stream being short. It is kept out of the stream-depletion math for that reason.

Water-level record

8 measurements from 2013-11-08 to 2024-02-14. Most recent water-level elevation 5915.16 ft, 504.84 ft below ground.

Chart: water level at this well over time, 2013-11-08 to 2024-02-14, 8 measurements. Rising elevation means more water. The values are downloadable as CSV from the link above.

Monitoring records are irregular: measurements cluster where somebody chose to look, so a trend describes this well's record, not the aquifer as a whole. Levels are DWR's published measurements, unedited. A trend here is not a prediction, and it is not a determination about anyone's water right.
