Denver Basin bedrock
Confined sandstone aquifer; negligible human-timescale recharge — pumping is one-way storage mining.
Because this aquifer does not recharge on a human timescale, a decline here is storage being removed, not a stream being short. It is kept out of the stream-depletion math for that reason.
Water-level record
44 measurements from 1965-08-22 to 2026-02-06. Most recent water-level elevation 6816.56 ft, 203.44 ft below ground.
Over the record the level is decreasing at -0.39 ft per decade (p = 0.0007, n = 40). Mann–Kendall with the Hamed–Rao autocorrelation correction, on water-level elevation; rising elevation means more water.
Chart: water level at this well over time, 1965-08-22 to 2026-02-06, 44 measurements. The record is decreasing at -0.39 feet per decade (p equals 0.0007), measured on water-level elevation. Rising elevation means more water. The values are downloadable as CSV from the link above.

What this page is not
Monitoring records are irregular: measurements cluster where somebody chose to look, so a trend describes this well's record, not the aquifer as a whole. Levels are DWR's published measurements, unedited. A trend here is not a prediction, and it is not a determination about anyone's water right.
