Denver Basin bedrock
Confined sandstone aquifer; negligible human-timescale recharge — pumping is one-way storage mining.
Because this aquifer does not recharge on a human timescale, a decline here is storage being removed, not a stream being short. It is kept out of the stream-depletion math for that reason.
Water-level record
22 measurements from 1986-04-30 to 2023-04-20. Most recent water-level elevation 4553.0 ft, 1247.0 ft below ground.
Over the record the level is decreasing at -220.72 ft per decade (p = 0.0052, n = 18). Mann–Kendall with the Hamed–Rao autocorrelation correction, on water-level elevation; rising elevation means more water.
Chart: water level at this well over time, 1986-04-30 to 2023-04-20, 22 measurements. The record is decreasing at -220.72 feet per decade (p equals 0.0052), measured on water-level elevation. Rising elevation means more water. The values are downloadable as CSV from the link above.

What this page is not
Monitoring records are irregular: measurements cluster where somebody chose to look, so a trend describes this well's record, not the aquifer as a whole. Levels are DWR's published measurements, unedited. A trend here is not a prediction, and it is not a determination about anyone's water right.
